Sporting are set to launch their own TV channel following in the foot steps of
Lisbon rival Benfica. Sporting's new TV channel should be on the air in August
2013, just in time for the start of the new season in Portugal. Sporting was
looking to launch on its club anniversary date of June 1 but the launch was not
able to be obtained by then.
